THEATER
MIAMIAMIA
Mia is a Brooklyn-based theater performer and songwriter hailing from Monterey, California. She specializes in developing new plays and musicals and is most excited by discussions of climate justice, gender, social justice, mental health, technology, and the nuances of AAPI identity. She is excited by theater that breaks molds and redefines form.
As a collaborator, Mia is focused, kind, playful, and hard-working. She seeks out characters with vulnerability, quirk, rage, pain, and humor. The daughter of a symphony conductor and a clarinetist, Mia spent every summer of her childhood at Interlochen Arts Camp. There, she developed a deep appreciation for all forms of creativity as well as a profound reverence for nature. In high school, she fell in love with dance and choreography. At NYU, she studied playwriting, directing, and design on top of acting.
In December 2024, she released her debut album “All Too Much” under the name miamiamia. She looks forward to releasing more music and putting on shows that blur the lines between concert, theater, and dance.
In her free time, she can be found hiking, dancing, writing music, sending quality memes to her friends, and scouring New York for the best gluten-free eats.
